Healthy Kids with Florida KidCare

Excited to be working with Florida KidCare on this sponsored post, although opinions are my own. I am thrilled to communicate good news raising awareness about Florida KidCare with affordable health and dental insurance for kids.

Florida KidCare is designed specifically with kids in mind. Their coverage provides your child with access to the services they need at each stage of growth and development. Health and dental services are delivered through quality plans that offer a choice of local doctors, dentists, specialists, hospitals, pharmacies and other healthcare providers. I invite you to visit https://iamkidcare.org/?utm_source=web-city-girls&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=media-enhancement and apply immediately. You will thank me later!!!

I am happy to share valuable information among my group of mentees and parents, as most of them honestly don’t have health insurance.

One of the reasons I am looking forward to working and learning about this campaign is because I will be able to teach their parents about it.  I will literary sit down with their parents and help them fill out the form.  And it will be of great satisfaction to me personally to see that not only all my mentees have health and dental insurance but to see that their family and friends will be able to take advantage of this great program as well.

As a matter of fact, in 2016 Florida legislature passed a bill to end a five year waiting period for lawfully residing immigrant children to receive health insurance through Florida KidCare. A parent’s immigration status is never asked during the Florida KidCare application, nor is it part of eligibility for a child. The state of Florida protects applicant information and enrolling a child in Florida KidCare does not impact any status through USCIS.

I love the well being of children and thought of five tips to maintain a healthy routine for back to school and into the fall season:

  • SLEEPING
To thrive academically, kids of all ages need to have energy, the ability to focus, concentrate, retain information, and be creative problem solvers. Research shows that students who sleep more get better grades.
  • ORGANIZATION
Teach your child about the importance of staying organized throughout the school year. We can avoid last minute craziness if we plan and prepare ahead of time.  Whether in reference to getting their clothes ready the day before, getting all their homework done or getting to school on time.
  • TIME
Set priorities and schedules for your children throughout the school year. Make sure they are not over extended with activities. Discuss what extracurricular activities your child will participate in. Make sure that they have enough time to do homework and family time.
  • HEALTH
Kids must have all of their vaccinations up to date in order to attend school and participate in school sports. Make sure your child has the health insurance they need for a great school year. Health and academic performance are strongly related. Make sure your child is ready to learn and achieve this year with head to toe health coverage!
