12 Inch Chavo Plush ¡Eso, Eso, Eso!

Whether you  are a Cuban in Miami, a Puerto Rican in the boroughs of Queens, or a Mexican in LA or Houston, El Chavo was (and still is) the 8 year-old boy who we all had in common via our television sets. It did not matter where you lived, he shared our sensibilities, spoke our language, made us laugh, and above all, he was our friend. But, he also became a global phenomenon and a character beloved internationally –  so much that four decades later, the original “El Chavo del 8″ show still reaches 100 million viewers daily (that is more than the Super Bowl viewership on a daily basis). Today, re-runs of “El Chavo del 8” (1971-1992) are watched worldwide in over 90 countries, including Latin America, Brazil, Spain, and of course, the United States.

Toymaker JAKKS Pacific is announcing that it is launching a new line of El Chavo toys that will be available at major retailers by mid August. Attached please find the press release with further details as well as a link to images of toys.  In the meantime, please let us know if you need any additional information and if you will be posting a story or would like to include the toys in any special “back to school/new products/gift guides” pieces that you may be running soon.
