It has been just months since Alex Wayne released the official video to his new hit single “No Me Quiero Enamorar” and this song has topped the chart of the Latin Billboard List.

The video stars Alex Wayne along with the famously actress Carolina Tejera as his love interest/undercover agent. There is also a special guest star cameo appearance by internationally known Boxing Legend Hector “MACHO” Camacho as the fed up Police Lieutenant leading the case.



In this video Alex Wayne portrays an infamous world-class jewel thief in continuation from his last getaway of his first video release “Ladron de Amor.” Carolina Tejera plays an undercover agent assigned to the case. The plot thickens with a twist when Tejera’s emotions come into play and she falls helplessly in love with Alex Wayne leading her with a tough choice to make….

Even though Alex could not resist Carolina kisses in the video, the words “No Me Quiero Enamorar” were part of our conversation:

“I am focusing on my career, on my album and creating good music, that is why at this time “No Me Quiero Enamorar”, said the 21 year old singer. I just got out of a serious relationship, I am not ready to date yet.”

Even though he is not sure about dating, he has a complete vision of the girl of his dream.

“No discrimino, no importa el color, ni el peso, ni la nacionalidad, mucho menos la religión, simplemente que me entienda, me apoye y acepte mi trabajo”, expreso el joven de 21 años.”

Who is Alex Wayne?

“Well, I am an ordinary guy with an extraordinary passion: MUSIC. Music is my passion it is something that I have been doing since I was a child.”

Born in Dominicana, raised between Puerto Rico and New York city, so how did you get into bachata ?

“Well, I am Dominicano, it is not a secret that bachata is one of the top genre in the music industry. In Dominicana is number one; I fell in love with bachata music, because my mom always listened to bachata music. I love the way bachata incorporates the “guitarra” and the “piano”  to make great melody. I am very romantic.”

“Even though  there are two merengues in my new album, bachata is my thing. It wasn’t really that hard for me to blend my music with bachata, ’cause I was raised around it.” 

Have you thought about doing a cross over? 

“Of course, I would love do a crossover with my song TE AMO, and if I have to choose a featuring for that song it would be Bruno Mars. There is something in his voice that will translate into great chemistry between the two of us. I also would love to do a featuring with Luis Fonsi and Enrique Iglesias.”

Some singers are known for their  voice and talent others for their fashion statement. Alex Wayne is making it to the top for his voice and his funky yet classic style.

“I would say that my style is very fashionable but comfy, always mixing the urban with a bit of juvenile classic. I love Enrique Iglesias style, he is one of my fashion icon.”

What is your New Year’s Resolution ?
